That's right. Our current models suggest we should be able to reach about 1.5X wind speed directly upwind. This will give us a relative headwind of 2.5X wind speed. Of course we make no promises
at this time, trough the calcul of Raymond i think it's difficult to pass praticaly the "relative max up speed" of x1,5 (but not x2 !) ....
As I understand, the students in the Aeolus race have achieved about 0.6X wind speed (relative max upwind speed of 1.6). With our much larger diameter turbine I hope to achieve greater than wind speed (relative max upwind speed of 2.0).
do you now Robert mikkelsen who is the main organisator of WPV Aeolus race in DK and one of the bests specialists of UPwind powered moving in the world
I have to confess I do not. I should probably be more well informed.
look a small Robipan by the wind .

Yes, I've studied your videos. I find your machines to be extremely creative and entertaining. But I must admit I'm not sure I understand whether they are intended to have specific benefits over traditional propellers and turbines. My intuition suggests that they would be less efficient for several reasons. But my intuition has been wrong before.
On an unrelated matter, I'd like to thank Dedeleco for his untiring efforts in explaining the workings of the downwind cart. I can certainly understand his occasional frustration.
