Thanks for your support
Glad to ear it !
I love boats, racing boats.
You sail ?
Really nice ! I like boats, and I love sea, but unfortunately, I'm not a sailor. Maybe in next years, when I'll be closer to the sea ?
I'm just a sailplane pilot, but is it so different ?
How is it like, racing with a boat ?
kistinie a écrit :Good question Yann
You think a girl can have the answer ?
Thank you to accept to ear from a girl.
I definitely think that a girl can have the answer.
They are closer to nature and more sensible (when they accept to be), so they have the key !
And I should thank you to give us your help !
kistinie a écrit :Can you tell me more about your question, please.
I'll try to complete each point, to bring some light down here with my questions !
kistinie a écrit :You mean full electric or hybrid including a generator based on an Internal or external combustion engine
What the reason makes you think we should go to hybrid rather straignt electric ?
Everything is interesting ! Maybe the best way would be to compare them ?
Each kind of generation could be adapted to different needs, I guess.
I'm not so expert in boat manufacturing, nor in car, but maybe what is true in one case, could have also some value in the other one ?
Looks like that full electric propulsion brings a couple of problems, as we were speaking about through this sujet. Energy storage, efficiency, range ? could be a brake in some minds for its development. Human needs to adapt himself, violent changes are often rejected !
On the other hand, hybrid could a solution, at least on the short term. Brings for sure better usage of fuel, better mileage, and efficiency. Smaller battery package than full electric, weight ? don't know what's the lightest between:
-a full pack of batteries with a full electric chain, or,
-a smaller combustion engine, a smaller battery back, and a smaller electric engine in a hybrid chain ?
kistinie a écrit :Do you accept to use you own shit to do boigaz. Are you comfortable with that ?
Why not ? It is a natural process, after all. And it is one very interesting point in an ICE. LPG / CNG already showed up some nice results, at least in totally unadapted, stupid gasoline engines.
kistinie a écrit :You want ICE ?
What taste, the ICE ?
The taste which is the closest to some natural taste !
ICE in a diesel / electric configuration (no crazy mechanical transmission here ) shows some interesting results in efficiency (especially 2-stroke). How complex would be a biogas injected 2-stroke diesel engine (like diesel engine running on LPG) ?
kistinie a écrit :In a car or a boat ?
In a car i guess...
I guess that all transports could be affected by these changes. Boats have very nice capabilities of transport, pity that they are not considered more often !
Changes in automative industry is urgent, regarding the number of users I think.
Itself, an ICE is a fantastic piece of equipment, if well used, with which you can do incredible things. Such a pity to have made it so cheap, accessible, and wasted in unconsidered applications, it lost all its value in the eyes of many !
kistinie a écrit :For me or for you ?
For them ?
For everybody ? Hard to say... What will the world look like with 6,9 Milliard cars ? But do I have more rights than somebody else to hold such a thing ... ?
kistinie a écrit :Are you rich or poor ?
Maybe I am poor if considered by an Occidental mid-sized social person , but I consider myself very lucky and seized by richness, rich ideas, rich goods, so let's take advantage of this luck !
kistinie a écrit :Can you use you hand to do it yourself ?
YES ! I would love to grab a pack of tools, two or three spare parts, and start to do something REAL !
Now, I can just try it on my poor gasoline engine !
kistinie a écrit :Where do you live, in now or desert ?
Right now... ? In snow ! And deep one !
I like to have a real usage of my things, not to take it just to buy a pack of cigs and a booze !
These vehicules are for sure more desirable for populations which lack of everything ! Instead of taking 1 person and 80 Kg of flesh from East city to West City, bringing 1 ton of medicines, water or food in Africa does make more sense to me.
kistinie a écrit :Please boy, sum up the list of features that you want to have in you next car
Ok, let's start modestly :
-Lightweight (see what can be done simply with Audi A2 1.2 TDI or VW Lupo 3L).
-Mobile ICE (or ECE ?) in case of long trips (which is anyway more sensed to me for using a car). Running on different fuels, but for sure biogas should be considered as the first solution.
-Nice aerodynamics (not just some 0,01 gain in the coefficient),
-A sensed use of energy (no useless toys ),
-Maybe 2 to 4 seats ? For personal cars,
-Adaptation to different conditions, depending on country. Should be equipped on demand to drive in a mountain area, as well as a desert, or in other conditions. Just needs to be modular.
This is really nice , exceptionnal concept for above standard budgets also !
The market nowadays is really opened and hard to decide which decisions to make (Hydrogren, Electric, Hybrid, Electricity Generation and so on...).
What is your opinion about all these things ? What have you decided for your boat (do you hold one by the way ?) ?
kistinie a écrit :Please dream well
Not too high in antigravity
Not too low in ICE
Thanks Yann for bringing back the initial question
Hope you are OK with my answer
See u later, alligator..
Dream is a need, to continue in our way, and is a part of our hope, isn't it ? But as you suggested, we need to keep some realism !
Thanks to you, to open the question to a higher level and wider range ! Looking forward to your answer about it !
By the way, what exactly is an ECE ? Some external generator for reloading ?
Something more: I gonna read the Brown Gas article, thanks for that! Just need a couple of days to understand it somehow :mgreen:, then I'll try to come back on it.
